Canadian University Of Dubai gets set to host international sustainability conference

The Canadian University Dubai, in partnership with the University of Prince Edward Island Canada, is getting ready to host a major international conference next week to examine the challenges and opportunities for integrating the three issues of global climate change, biodiversity and sustainability.
The conference – GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE, BIODIVERSITY AND SUSTAINABILITY: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES is specifically focused on the Arab MENA region.
The three day event, which runs from April 23 to 25 2018, includes keynote speakers, panel discussions and as study tours of the host city, Dubai, and its surroundings.
The conference will be formally opened by H.E Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi Minister Climate Change and Environment United Arab Emirates. Other keynote
speakers include:
- Dr. Francisco Dallmeier, Director of the Smithsonian Center for Conservation and Sustainability
- Dr. Daniel Scott Executive Director, Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change (IC3) University of Waterloo
- Mashael Al Ansari Climate Change Specialist Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), UAE
- Leanne Bilodeau, Associate Director Sustainability Operations University of British Columbia
- Karim El Jisr Executive Director, The Sustainable City Innovation Center
- Dr. Adam Fenech Director, Climate Research Lab, University of Prince Edward Island
