Binnies awarded over S$28 million PUB tender for Choa Chu Kang Waterworks reconstruction

Binnies Singapore, an RSK Group company, has today announced that it has been selected by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, to provide detailed design and construction supervision of the reconstruction of Choa Chu Kang Waterworks (CCKWW).
The S$28.8 million Professional Engineering Services contract which commenced on 15 June 2021 will be completed in 2026.
The reconstruction works will transform CCKWW into a state-of-the-art drinking water treatment plant with the latest water treatment technologies and smart features to allow full automation with minimum operator interventions.

The announcement of the award comes as Binnies Singapore and many other industry veterans gear up to two weeks of activities at the upcoming Singapore International Water Week 2021 (SIWW 2021). This year, the biennial conference, one of the leading water events in the world for urban water management, will be held virtually in light of the current Covid-19 restrictions with an emphasis on innovation, solutions and technologies in key thematic areas including climate resilience, resource circulatory and digital water.
