NORMA Group has expanded its production capacities for water management solutions by opening a new plant through its US subsidiary, NDS.
The new plant, located in Lithia Springs, Georgia, will manufacture access boxes for irrigation systems and stormwater products, and is expected to initially operate with 40 employees, with plans to increase to 120 over the next three years.
NORMA Group’s CEO, Miguel Ángel López Borrego, noted that the scarcity of water in various parts of the world makes it imperative to manage this resource responsibly and expects to grow the water management business globally.
The Lithia Springs plant’s manufacturing space is 10,900 square meters, and the products manufactured there will be sold to various customers in the wholesale and retail channel.
NORMA Group has been expanding into the water management business since 2012, generating 24 percent of its Group sales of around EUR 1.2 billion with water management products in 2022.
NDS irrigation systems enable contractors and private homeowners to use water more efficiently with their drip irrigation systems that can save up to 70 percent water compared to conventional irrigation.
