The plant will be designed using the activated sludge process for carbon and nitrogen removal to treat the sewage water in accordance with irrigation water quality standards under the Royal Commission Environmental Regulations 2015.
Marafiq is planning to expand the plant up to a total capacity of 200 MLD in 2 phases – the WABAG order win covers Phase 1 with a capacity of 120 MLD.
During the contract signing ceremony held on 31st October 2018. the President and CEO of Marafiq, Abdullah Al-Buainain expressed his confidence in providing world-class utility facilities for the new-wave of growth for the Saudi Vision 2030 industrial ventures.
